Headlight Repair by Post from the UK and Ireland
Headlight repair by post: you send us the headlight, we repair it in our workshops in Ciudad Real and Valencia, Spain, and send it back fixed and under warranty. The car stays where it is: only the headlight travels. Repairing the unit you already have costs a fraction of a new one, and you keep the original part.
What we repair
We repair the headlight unit itself. Not a polish, not a restoration kit, not a replacement.
- Cracked, chipped or deeply scratched lenses, repaired or replaced on your own housing: headlight lens repair.
- Misted or leaking headlights: opened, dried and resealed. More below.
- Cracked housings and broken mounting tabs.
- LED modules, drivers and daytime running lights that have stopped working: LED headlight repair.
- Xenon headlights: housing, lens and seals only, not ballasts or igniters.

How sending your headlight works
- Quote from photos. Send us a few pictures of the headlight (lens and housing), plus the make, model, registration and VIN. We reply within 24 hours.
- Quote accepted. Before you send anything, the quote confirms the courier, the cost of shipping both ways, the transit times and how to pay. Prices are in euros.
- Repair. About 72 hours in the workshop, not counting transit.
- Return. We pack it the same way it arrived and send it back.
From Ireland and from the UK
From Ireland, a headlight sent to Spain is an ordinary parcel within the EU. If it has failed the NCT for condensation, a cracked lens or a dead lamp, repairing the original unit is usually the cheaper route.
From the UK, contact us before sending anything: the customs paperwork for the outward and return journeys is set out in the quote, along with the courier and the cost.
Headlamp condensation repair
Condensation inside a headlight is a seal problem, not a weather problem: once the seal between the lens and the housing has opened, every cold morning draws damp air in and it fogs up again.
A hairdryer or a bag of silica gel treats the symptom. We open the headlight, dry it out and renew the seal so the water has no way back in; if there is also a crack in the lens, it is repaired or replaced in the same job.
Price and warranty
Repairs start from €400. The final price is fixed after we see the photos and the registration, and it covers the repair, not a new headlight.

Frequently asked questions
Can a cracked headlight be repaired?
In most cases, yes: the lens is repaired or replaced on the original housing, and cracks in the housing or the mounting tabs can be rebuilt. Send us photos and we will tell you.
How long does headlight repair by post take?
About 72 hours in the workshop plus the courier both ways, with the transit times confirmed in the quote.
Will the repaired headlight pass the MOT or NCT?
You get your own headlight back with its original optics, unmodified: the same unit, working again. Whether the car passes is decided at the test centre, so we don't promise a result.
